Baptism Day
Kaylie's very special baptism was last Saturday September 22, 2007. It was such a special day and one Kaylie has been waiting for for many years. Her Dad baptized her.
Kaylie chose a very beautiful baptism dress out for this special day. This dress will go right alongside her wedding dress as one of those very special dresses in her life. We are so proud of Kaylie and the good choices she is making. We love you Kaylie!
Some Fall Scrapbooking
I finally finished a few pages from LAST October...it's about time huh?? =) This one was fun, I used a photo I had taken of the pumpkin patch and enlarged the photo to 8 by 10. Then I covered the photo with Vellum to create this background. Using my cricut and SU! Pumpkin Prints Paper I cut out Cam's name. The dotted autumn set was used for the accents and title of my page..simple yet fun!
This page was fun since I used my new Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge to cut out the school buses in different sizes. Using the loads of love set I added some kids and some pumpkins to the back of the bus!! This was Cameron's first bus ride so he was really excited. See the small photo of him looking out the window of the bus at me. =) I also used my Tear Drop cartridge to cut out my title. SU! black gingham ribbon and mustard ribbon completed the borders for my spread! What a cute daughter I have! She enjoys using many of my stamps before I ever do! Such is the case with the school wheel she used here to stamp her alphabet on! I must say she did this ENTIRE page when I was not in the room! I was taking care of the boys while she was having FREE TIME! Oh to have free time!! Anyhow, she copied my idea for the school bus, however she made a bus driver complete with a hat! She used embellishments from a kit she received from *mom* for her birthday this month. The school house, ABC and apple were all punched out using her new Cuttlekids. That is a great tool for kids for scrapbooking! New from Provo Craft!! What a darling scrapbookers she is turning out to be! =)

My Scrapbook Room....almost Done!
Next is a view from the closet wall looking towards our main desk area. Mine is the desk on the left with the L shape. Kaylie has the right hand side of the desk. Above our desk are the shelves where we can display our artwork, altered items and fun ribbon jars!
This is my workstation which stands at countertop height on the opposite wall! It is perfect for my Cricut, paper cutter and other tools that I prefer to use standing up. What a dream! I don't have a sore back anymore! Still to complete: curtains, molding trim, a clock, vinyl wall lettering and a linen board above my workstation. Still a few details..but for the most part its DONE!! =)
Progress continues..
The Remodel Begins
What an amazing undertaking it was to remodel the Scrapbooking Room! These are the 'before photos'. I had a decent arrangement before but I wanted everything to be better organized and more user-friendly for my children to craft WITH me!! Plus it wasn't very cute! I needed the room to be BLUE to help inspire my creative side!
So Scott helped me design the room and I started painting. I painted and painted and painted!

Stamp Club Sharing....
I wanted to share some of the cards I've taught lately for my Stampin' Clubs. It's been fun to have the monthly clubs to prepare for. It at least gets me into my Scrapbook Room at least once a month!!!
Here's the info on the cards: This is the fun pocket card inspired by Cambria Turnbow's blog. http://cambriaturnbow.blogspot.com/ I made my card SU! friendly by using our Creepy Crawly paper and a bunch of punches and the new Batty For You set. This one turned out SOO cute! Now I need to order more Creepy Crawly paper though....we had fun with this one.
The next card I taught was using the Scalloped Punch to make flowers! Love this!! I used the scalloped punch and then cut slits along each scallop to create the flower. The center is done with crystal effects and microbeads! I love tempting turqouise..such a fun color!

Joining the Blog Craze
Well I decided it was time I joined the Blog craze! Since I love to take photos and email them to family and friends, I thought this might be an easier way to update everyone on what's been happening with the Wrights. I'll email you all to let you know when I've updated our blog with new photos and info. Seems like a great way to keep in touch with friends and family far and near. Anyhow, welcome to the Wright's Spot.. =)
Take care!
