Get Air

The kids have become quite acrobatic since being inspired by the Olympics this summer and practicing on our trampoline.

Here is Kyler doing several aerials and flips.

Dallyn is very adventurous and good at his flipping.

You might think this picture below is of Kyler, but if you look closely, you will see Dallyn doing a full layout flip, head down just to the left of Kyler.

Kaylie is not quite into flipping as much as her brothers, but still enjoys some of it. You will note there are no pics of Cam and his amazing high flying feats, he hurt his knee a bit so he was taking it easy.

Balls at Get Air

They also had a blast in the ball area playing dodge ball and slam dunking (or attempting to at least.)

Dallyn's Junior Jazz Basketball

On top of all the rest going on, our little sportsman Dallyn has started competitive basketball with other 8 year olds. Dad has been pulled in as his coach and we are off to a fun (though loosing) start. Dallyn is an excellent player though.

Baby Heidi's Blessing

We were so grateful the Randalls decided to bless little baby Heidi in Utah before their move to Michigan. We were also honored to host the event in our home. It was a special and touching moment. There was no doubt that baby Heidi's aunt and namesake was close by and taking part in the festivities.

A last party with cousins

This past week marked the end of some great times our family has shared with Heidi's younger sister Amy's family. The Randall's moved this week to Detroit, Michigan as her husband began a new job with Ford. We are happy for them and sad for the good times we will miss. We were glad the cousins got to play most of two straight days together before they moved away. Best of luck Randalls.

Happy Aniversary

It was 15 years ago that Heidi and I were married in the Oakland Temple. We walked in together as bright eyed friends and walked out as husband and wife, sealed for Time and All Eternity. The next fifteen years would be full of love, mutual respect, fun, joy, growth, development, bonding and friendship. Yes there were challenges, sacrifice, sadness and illness mixed in there as well, but it was still a wonderful 15 years that I would not trade for anything in the world. I do miss my dear friend and companion Heidi. The past nearly six months have required a lot of changes and adjustments for us, but we are pushing forward and trying to live life to the fullest, just as Heidi would have wanted. We miss you Heidi, Happy Anniversary.

Set Your Course

Each year our local church group (Stake) takes all the 11 year old boys and does a "set Your Course" event to kick off their Scouting, Teen-age years and priesthood service on the right foot. The Stake Presidency, after a neat presentation, invites all the 11 year old boys, picture below, to commit to do 4 things that will "set their course" right for the future ... Obtain their Eagle Scout Award, Graduate from Seminar, Fulfill their Duty to God, and Serve an Full-time Mission. I have been lucky enough to help organize and put on the event the last few years with my calling in the Stake Young Men's Presidency, but Cameron had a blast being one of the 11 year olds this year. I sure hope (and fully believe) Cam will fulfill the commitment he made that night.
