Spring Break in CA

We had the great opportunity to come to CA for the first part of Spring Break. We got to spend one day with friends in Elk Grove, and then got to spend Easter with Heidi's parents in Livermore. It was great to go to Easter church service with them, Kaylie sang in the choir, beautiful as usual, and Heidi's Mom gave a touching talk on hope in the Resurrection.

After Church there were plenty of fun times to be had at Grandpa and Grandma's. Easter Egg decorating, a walk to the stream, egg hunt, egg relay race. Egg glasses???

Easter Photos

We took some pics as a family and of the kids on Easter. Yes it looks like we coordinate, but I must point out that all the ties and clothing are from years past and all coordination was orchestrated back then by Heidi, I am for sure not that on top of it.

We also got to visit Heidi's Grandmother's grave site in Livermore on Easter. She passed away a few short months before Heidi last year.

Spring Break in CA (Cont. 3)

What do you do if you have been in sub-freezing temperatures for months in Utah and suddenly you find yourself in 50 degree weather and a pool in the backyard, well if you are my kids you go swimming, even if the water could have icebergs floating in it. Cam, DJ and Julia braved the frigid waters for a while. Later Kyler and Kyle joined them in the hot tub. Kaylie and Sarah went shopping and were far too cool to join in such adolescent revelry, agree?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Spring Break in CA (Cont. 4)

The kids had a great time playing at a new park in our old neighborhood in Elk Grove with our good friends family the Wangsgards. Lots of spinning, twirling, jumping and tumbling.
