Lots of Visitors!

Well I have had lots of great visitors lately so it has been fun to spend time with everyone and get caught up with some people I have not seen in awhile!! First of all Scott was in China for 10 days and while he was gone my sister came to visit to help ease my loneliness (and craziness) and that was so very fun to have her here. It was the first time she has come to visit without her girls so we were able to spend a little more time actually visiting, though we were still busy running errands and taking care of my kids!!

Then my childhood friend Kristen came to visit on her way to a wedding in CA and it was so great to see her and her darling family. It had been about 2 years since we had seen each other as they had visited on another road trip from ID to CA but back when I lived in CA so it's been awhile. It was relay great seeing her and we had a nice visit!

The week before that Kathleen came to visit from NV and we enjoyed some time together. Kathleen and I go way back to my early Elk Grove days when Kaylie and her son were in preschool together!! So it's been awhile...it was great seeing her again

The kids all enjoyed playing together and here's a group photo of her kids and my kids, they came out in the fall too to visit and stayed a few days and we forgot to get a photo then so I had to grab one this time! It has been great to re-connect with so many great friends!

Mulan

This is our lovely daughter who recently has been known as Fa Mulan around our house. The reason behind this is that Kaylie has been living and breathing Mulan for the past few months. Recently she's been even more immersed as she has been in rehearsals for Mulan 3 days a week in prep for her big performance. Kaylie's hard work paid off! She did a fantastic job and we are so proud of her! She had some 100+ lines to memorize and lots of songs as well, it was a big jump up from her responsibilities in any other play she has been in. She really stepped it up and worked really hard to meet the challenge!!

Here is her biggest fan club...her family! Everyone in the family helped Kaylie at some point prepare for the play. Scott coached her on facial expressions and being 'believable'. Cameron practiced lines with her in the car on the drive to/from CA for our Hawaii trip. Dallyn and Kyler listened to songs with her in her room on many occasions..and Mom..well, you know how involved Moms need to be with this sort of thing. Let me just say I know all the songs and lines and everything from this play! Kaylie is sad that it is over. She was telling me how much she wishes she could do a few more performances..so much work and then before you know it is over!! Well, she still has her Suessical play at the end of April....she is practicing 2 times a week for that right now so this little actress has had practices 5 days a week recently!! So it will be nice to pare that down to 2 days a week for awhile!

Congratulations Kaylie!

Kaylie got two different bouquets after her performance on Thursday night. One was a beautiful flower bouquet from Grandma and Grandpa Wright and the other was a candy bouquet from Mom. Kaylie did a fantastic job and she is enjoying both of her bouquets!!

I am so grateful for the amazing team of directors that taught and coached Kaylie during these past three months. They were so great with her! Thanks so much for giving her the opportunity to play this amazing part! I'm so glad she made you all proud!! She wishes she was still going to be at Centerville El so she could be in the play next year, but she is on to Centerville Jr. High so this is the last elementary play for Kaylie! What a way to finish up her time at Centerville Elementary!! She had a great experience doing the play!

This is Kaylie and Andrew, he played Mushu and was Kaylie's sidekick in the play. He was so very funny, they did a great job playing off each other in some of the funny scenes. It's so fun to have friends in our ward that are in the play too! (Still getting used to that...guess I am just such a CA girl)

Kaylie had a lot of "fans" that came to support her as she performed as Mulan. The award for the farthest traveled goes to Grandma and Grandma Wright who drove out from Long Beach, CA to see Kaylie perform! She was so happy to have them here. Thanks so much for supporting her!

Chemo Sets in

Well, I am on day 14 of my Chemo Regimen and I can really tell that I am on chemo now. The past 3 days I have been really weak and tired and sick at my stomach. Luckily after today I get to have a one week break off so that my immune system can recover. The past few days have been so much harder than the 10 days prior so I can tell that my white blood count is really being hit. I am grateful that I will get to have a break from this chemo for awhile. So that is why you haven't heard from me on my blog lately. I am too tired and weak to even get online. I am online right now helping Cam with a school project so I decided to post really quick. Now back to bed!!

Chemo Week 2

Well I am officially in week 2 of Chemo and I am doing better than I thought. So far the biggest side effect I am feeling is fatigue. It is a big change from my up early in the morning with lots of energy Heidi but I know it could be a lot worse!!

I am getting used to the new routine of taking a lot of pills as well as taking longer and more frequent naps, or going to bed very early! The other day I went to bed before 9 pm! Wow! So my body is definitely going through a change but I feel really blessed to not be as sick as I was anticipating, at least not yet! So there is the good news for the day! I am counting my blessings!
