New Garbage Can! Yeah!

So as you may remember this was our eyesore of a garbage/trash compactor that didn't work and that wasted a ton of space...

Here is the space AFTER Scott built a frame for a new garbage can to sit on and installed a new drawer and a cupboard. The cabinet looks lighter in the photo than it actually is. It really matches well and unless you are staring at the cabinets you can't tell them are different. Not to mention it looks a heck of a lot better than a huge white beast.

Here it is open...so Scott built a platform for these to sit on so that they would be higher and more convenient to use. The front one is for garbage and the back one is for recycling. In CA we had this same idea but with smaller cans (under the sink) so this is awesome because we could buy new, larger garbage cans and its so great! Now throwing away garbage is so easy and it looks so nice! Plus we got an extra drawer out of it too! Isn't my hubby the best?? =)
