Easter Morning

The past few years we've written a letter to the Easter bunny to ask him not to leave the kids too much candy or gifts. This year the kids wrote a similar letter and signed it and left it on the table with carrots. They told the Easter bunny that they wanted to focus on the true meaning of Easter (Christ's Resurrection) and so if he could just leave them a small gift or two that would be good!
The Easter Bunny cooperated! Each child received a Lil Kinz Webkinz in their basket. The boys got a Star Wars play dough set to share and Kaylie got an American Girl Book. No large gifts or candy in their baskets**Yeah!**Mom was happy about that.
The Easter Bunny did hide some eggs around the house for the kids to find, so they did end up with a few jelly beans and chocolates!
Their furry friends helped them as they searched for their eggs. Somehow this is always exciting, year after year! We had a nice little Egg hunt, followed by birthday fun and general conference for church.
