General Conference

This morning we had the opportunity to take our older children to see conference in the Conference Center in SLC. It was the first time for all of us being in the Conference Center.

Scott went to conference in the Tabernacle back in 1994 but the rest of us had never been to a live session of conference. It was sunny but freezing this morning.....
Here we are...it was a really neat experience. The children loved seeing how everything looks just like it does on TV, but its so much bigger than they imagined. I loved hearing the choir and watching the Prophet walk in when everyone stood. What a strong spirit there was.
This is picture from when we sat down before there was anyone up on the stand. What an amazing center this is! It was a great experience and we hope to come back again in a few years if we can get tickets again!

You were brave to be out there in the cold. We wimped out...we didn't have tickets and there were so many of us that we didn't dare go stand in line for 2 hours to see if we could get it. :) Randy did make it to the Priesthood session with my dad, brother, and Kaylinne's "guy" friend. We are planning on attending in October...hopefully we can find enough tickets. We stayed at my mom's house in Springville for Easter weekend. One of these times I'll have to plan on driving up to see ya!! Hugs, Jo Deann
