Kaylie tried snorkeling for the first time and Scott said she freaked out about the fish just like her Mom did! =) Like mother like daughter I guess. =) Anyhow Kaylie struggled to figure out how to not get mouthfuls of salt water. She enjoyed boogie boarding and just riding the waves though and burying herself in the sand.
The kids also got to go to the pool at the timeshare. There were a few pools there and one of them had waterfalls and a waterslide, etc. and the kids really liked that one. Especially Kyler, he just raved about the waterslides. He had to wear water wings in the pool but on the slide he couldn’t so Scott would just catch him…oh he loved that. Dallyn has become quite the little swimmer and it was fun to watch him swim out from the waterslide all by himself even though it was too deep for him. He has really gained confidence in the water. One of our goals before going on our Hawaii trip was to try to take the children to the rec center more so they would be more comfortable in the water…the little ones……and I think it worked.Cameron took like a fish to the water, no big surprises there! He was out snorkeling with Scott before too long, going underwater to get better views etc. He would come out of the water and say in a loud voice “That was sooooo cool!!” and then he would run back in the ocean. He did that over and over again, he was in heaven too. It just made me laugh to see how excited he got about everything. He would ride the waves and jump out and say “That was sooo cool!” and then before I knew it he was asking to go out in the waves again with his Dad and snorkel. Watching him flop down the beach with his snorkel stuff on was just a hoot. He cracks me up. He just is such a fish.
Kyler LOVED the waves!!
