The past 2 weeks have been very fun and very full (as usual) for the Wright Family. Here is a summary, followed by pictures and details in the blog posts below. In reverse order (newest to oldest):
This past weekend we spent the night up in Park City in the same hotel as Vera Lyn and her children. We had a great time, swimming, playing, watching a movie, etc. We were up there for her 9 year daughter’s soccer tournament, which they won. Way to go Lauren.
Many nights last week found Scott working late replacing a linoleum floor at Vera Lyn’s house with a laminate hardwood floor. Looks great, but it was a lot of work. The kids took advantage of Dad’s later nights to really make the most of summer break, doing just about nothing or everything (not sure there is a difference to them at times)
A week ago we spent 3 days in Yellowstone with our great friends from CA, the Wangsgards. What a trip. We saw it all, wildlife (Bison, Elk, Bear, Wolves, eagles), nature (forests, mountains, gysers, stars, waterfalls, lakes, rivers, etc.) friends and most importantly all but 2 of the 50 states license plates (somehow Delaware and West Virginia eluded us.)
The day we left for Yellowstone (which started by the way with Dad taking his 4 kids and 3 of the four Wagnsgard kids a day early to Yellowstone by himself. Adventurous for sure, but it was fun and turned out great.) Anyway, the day we left also started the Ralph (Heidi’s grandparents) family reunion. We were sad to miss most of it, but the kids did get to the 24th of July Parade with cousins.
Then of course there was Kyler’s 7th Birthday, couldn’t forget that could we.
Like I said, full but fun, only a few weeks of summer left … where does the time go.
