We came back and I tried to boogie board. It was a little crazy my little boys were trying to teach me how to do it and I was just so pathetic. Scott told me later that I was probably too heavy to catch good waves because it was a kid’s board but the kids make it look so easy and I Just couldn’t get the hang of it. Dallyn and Cam were very patient teaching their Mom though. It was really fun! After that we went to get cleaned off from the beach and take a dip in that pool before heading back to the timeshare. As we were getting cleaned off the whales started flapping their fin and it was so neat.
I wish I had had my camera with me at the time. Wow! They were totally putting on a show for us, it was so very neat. At the same time there was a man with a fire torch lighting all the lights along the way. He jumped off black rock after he lit the torches. Of course that wasn’t that big of a deal to us because our Dad had already jumped off black rock and we got some video of him doing that, the kids liked watching Dad. He climbed up, which looked hard, and then jumped into the water, it was really fun.
After a quick dip in the Sheraton pool there Grandpa picked us up and we drove back to the Westin. We decided to have leftover food for dinner since we had eaten out a lot and we had a lot of leftovers to go through and we couldn’t take them with us! So we ended up having scrambled eggs, toast, and guava juice. We bought way too much bread and eggs! So that worked out. Then for dessert we had the rest of the ice cream we had bought on Monday so the kids got to have a little treat in addition to the little ice cream cups we got earlier in the day.
The children wanted to do one more night swim and so Scott took the kids back to the pool. I had a few loads of laundry to do and I needed to sort/organize so I could unpack better—that’s just me—and so I stayed at the time share and did the household things. But it was good I did because we were much more organized that we would have been otherwise. We had such tired kids at the end of this day…not just that but at the end of a very exciting week of time in the sun and time on the beach and fun and fun and fun. It was really a great day and a great way to end the week! Aloha!
