One really cute thing Kyler said at the beach was “I’m just going to hold on to the sand” when he was being pulled under a little bit. He said “This is SOO awesome Mom!” as he was getting hit with small waves that were pulling him through the water. Then he told me that he was going to hold onto the sand, it was so very cute! Kyler got knocked down a few times and I went to jump up to get him and he would just laugh and say “That was totally cool Mom!” and he would tell me all about how fun it was. He ran back and forth from the ocean to the shore and just had a great time.
It was so amazing that I didn’t have to worry about my kids much at all. Hawaii just has such great beaches!!Kaylie and Cam loved boogie boarding and Dallyn too. The older kids all snorkeled with Dad. Even Dallyn got into it and he was riding on Scott’s back and then he would get in and swim, just without flippers. He really had a great time and took to snorkeling more than I thought he would. We stayed on the beach a long time as the kids were just having so much fun. I finally got brave enough to try snorkeling again.
This time I didn’t wear the mask, it gave me a major headache last time, and Scott let me swim out on his back until we got into deeper water. It was soooo neat! I wish I had been more brave earlier! We saw some really pretty fish and coral and everything, it is just amazing how neat it is down there, there is such neat fish! Yellow ones with black stripes and blue dory type fish and all types of other fish. It was really neat! Wow! I enjoyed it and wished my goggles didn’t keep getting clogged up with fog. I had just been cut up and crashed on so badly on Tues when we had gone snorkeling before that I wasn’t wanting to go again. So now I know I just need to go to a beach that is more calm.
