End of 1st Grade

Dallyn completed his 1st grade year today and I just can't believe it! Where does the time go? Last week we got to watch a very darling program put on by Dallyn's class. It was such an amazing production, lots of songs and dances and recitations and the teacher gave all the children 'star parts' in the production so it was really fun. This was a fun song about how caterpillars turn into butterflies and the boys and girls each had different parts and actions..it was very creative! I just loved the whole show!!

Dallyn's teacher told me afterwards how impressed she was with him and how he had memorized all the songs really well and he actually SANG them!! She said that he knew all the other children's parts too..it was really cute! Much different then his Kindergarten performance where he hardly sung at all!

Dallyn had a wonderful year in 1st grade and he just loved Mrs. Birrell. Thank you so much Mrs. Birrell for being such a great teacher! He remembers that your class motto was "If you can't say nuttin nice then don't say nuttin at all!" =) What a great motto for him to take with him in his life! My kids were so blessed with great teachers this year!!
