Late March 2013

Kaylie sang in a school choir concert this past week. She even had a solo part. She did fabulous as usual, despite being a bit sick.

Dallyn received his Wolf badge in Cub Scouts along with one gold arrow and five silver arrows. He has been a busy boy getting everything completed. Way to go DJ!

March 2013 Continued

We celebrated Saint Patrick's Day by having a fun breakfast, Green Eggs and Ham with Green Milk. Kaylie was less than thrilled, thinking the eggs and milk tasted different with the Food Coloring. We had to wait an extra day as I attended an LDS Young Widows/Widowers conference that is held annually in Utah. It was a great learning experience and reassuring to be in company with many others going through a similar situation to me.

As we will be gone on Cam's upcoming 12th Bday, we celebrated on Friday night with his friends. We had pizza and fruit (of course) and then the boys watched the newly released Hobbit (3 plus hours, wow!) He wanted donuts instead of cake. But they all had a blast.

Saturday night, along with some good friends, we went and watched some good friends in our Ward, the original Wrights, perform in a local theaters production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was a lot of fun and the Wrights did fantastic. Reminded me of Cam's performance in the same play last May shortly after Heidi's departure.

Fun Center

A week or so ago we spent a few hours on a Saturday having fun at a Fun Center nearby, roller blading/skootering, playing on bouncy houses, laser tag and arcade games. It was a lot of fun.

Snowburnt

If you look closely enough at the cute faces below, especially Cam, Kyler and Kaylie, you'll notice some extra red in those cheeks. That is thanks to snow skiing all day Saturday at Wolf Mountain resort. It was a beautiful day for it too, near 50 degrees and sunny. The kids did great and we had a blast. They all got right into it and within a few hours were doing jumps, steep runs and going super fast.

Austin Texas

For the first time since Heidi's passing I had to go on a business trip this past week. I spent 3 days in Austin, TX. Grandma Postonia spent the time with the kids. Here I am below looking over downtown Austin from my hotel balcony, outside Texas Longhorn Stadium, and then in front of the Texas State Capital. It was a good trip.
