Heidi Thursday April 19th

It has been a week complete since the Doctors appointed 48 hours in which Heidi should have passed, yet Heidi continues to fight on. Her decline continues at the same rate it has been for the past week, more and more weak, more and more fatigued, and less and less coherent and alert. Today marked the first day she really had no time of full alertness and coherency, a lot of semi-conscious time and communication, but never fully alert. There are other signs that the body is in the process of shutting down as well. We are so grateful she remains comfortable and in no physical pain. She has fought such a noble and courageous war and we will miss her dearly.

Scott, You and your family are in my thoughts constantly. I am so happy that I was there in the beginning in person and I am here in the end in thought. Give Heidi one more hug from me and I hope these final days bring you many good memories. Love from Sue in Sacramento.

Dear Scott and family, We've been praying very hard for all of you. We know Heidi is nearing the end of this life, but she has lived a very full life. She has crammed a lot of living into 34 years, more than some people do in a lifetime! She has been such an example for all who know her and watched her valiant efforts to fight this disease. We will continue to pray for you. And we are so grateful that families can be together forever.

Love,
Mike and Vickie Morris

Thank you so much for the updates. I know there are many, many people who have you in theirs prayers and want to let you have this time in private with Heidi -- so the updates are such a blessing to us. Thank you again for remembering all of us who love your family.

Wanted to say thanks as well for taking the time to update her status for all of us. I find myself checking it several times a day. Very grateful for the time that I did get to spend with Heidi before you guys moved. Even during all she was going through, she was always sending me cards or messages because she was worried about me! She is truly an angel with an amazing spirit and gigantic heart! I will miss her!

Dear Wright Family,

I don't know you personally, Heidi and Scott, but my parents (Don & Marilyn Vickers) asked us all to pray for you. About 2 weeks ago I went to your blog and was so touched by Heidi's vibrant and beautiful spirit that comes through so clearly. We continue to pray for you all.

Love,
